CitizenPrep is made by ANAVASIS LLC (“we”). This policy explains what the app does with information, in plain language. The short version: we run no servers, require no account, and never sell data. Your study activity stays on your device.
Study progress and settings. Your exam history, flashcard progress, chosen state, test version, and language are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
Your voice (AI Mock Interview). With your permission, the microphone and Apple’s speech recognition convert your spoken answers to text. Recognition runs on your device whenever your iPhone supports it; otherwise audio is processed by Apple according to Apple’s privacy terms. We never store, record, or receive your audio.
AI grading and explanations. When you use the mock interview or “Learn more,” the text of the question and your answer is sent to Google’s Gemini API to grade it or explain it. No name, email, or account identifier accompanies it, because the app has none. Please don’t dictate personal information into your answers. Google’s API terms and privacy policy apply to this processing.
ZIP code (optional). If you enter a ZIP code to see your U.S. Representative, it is stored only on your device, and the district lookup happens on the device from a built-in table. Your ZIP is never sent to us or anyone else. The app does not access your location.
Current-answers feed. The app anonymously downloads a small public file (the names of current officeholders) so answers stay correct after elections. No information about you is sent with this request.
Advertising (free version). The free version shows banner ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use a device advertising identifier and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. iOS will ask whether you allow tracking — if you decline, you still get ads, just less personalized. See Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) for details. CitizenPrep Pro removes ads entirely, and Pro devices do not load the ads SDK.
Purchases. CitizenPrep Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
CitizenPrep is a study tool for adults preparing for naturalization and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the effective date.
